Opportunities to work while studying
Eligible students on qualifying full-time degree-level courses may work up to 20 hours per week during term time, subject to their visa conditions. This can offer valuable experience alongside your studies.
Explore opportunities after graduation
Eligible graduates may apply for the UK Graduate visa to stay and work, or look for work, after completing their course. Under current rules:
- Two years for applications made by 31 December 2026.
- 18 months for applications from 1 January 2027.
- Three years for eligible PhD and other doctoral graduates.
Considering studying with your family?
Eligible students on qualifying full-time research-based postgraduate programs or PhDs lasting at least nine months may be able to bring their partner and children. Eligibility depends on the course and other requirements, so it’s worth checking this before choosing your program.
